Geckos Etc. is hiring for one position in our breeding facility to assist with daily care of our animals.

Reptile Care Technician

Reptile Care Technician

This position will be responsible for the following:

Feeding and watering of reptiles
Cleaning cages
Assistance with rack building
Egg collection and setting up new hatchlings
Inventory management
General cleaning and sterilizing

Requirements for Reptile Care Technician

Experience keeping and/or breeding reptiles is necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience working with leopard geckos, fat tail geckos, or western hognose snakes, but that is not required. Candidates must be hard working with the ability to follow standard operating procedures and the ability to pay close attention to details. Other helpful qualities would be an understanding of general genetics and morphs and some experience with photographing live animals, but that is not required. Hours for this job are 20 to 40 hours per week, and hours are flexible between 7AM and 4PM (Monday-Friday). Pay will be determined based on experience and will start at $15.50 to $17 per hour. Health benefits are available for full time employees.
