All orders must be paid in full prior to shipping. We accept Visa, Mastercard, money orders, cashier's checks, PayPal, wire transfers, Western Union, or personal checks. Please make money orders or personal checks out to Steve Sykes. We welcome personal checks, but we will only ship once we can confirm the check has cleared to our account. At the time of payment please provide us with your full name, complete shipping address, and daytime and nighttime phone numbers.
As we are required to pay sales tax, California residents will be charged 7.50% sales tax. Tax will not be charged to California customers who intend to resell animals. In these cases, we require a valid seller's permit number for our records. Out-of-state customers are not required to pay sales tax.
Animals can be placed on hold for 7 days without a deposit. If a deposit or full payment is not received within 7 days, the animal will be put up for sale again. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve an animal for up to 1 month. If full payment is not received within 1 month, the deposit will be forfeited and the animal put up for sale again.
We welcome wholesale orders from pet stores, resellers, or distributors. Wholesale discounts are available on some morphs. Please inquire about current availability.
After payment has been received we will arrange the shipment of your order. We will attempt to ship the order ASAP, but typically prefer to ship out Monday through Wednesday, for arrival Tuesday through Thursday. We require someone to be home to sign for the package and unpack the animals ASAP. If this is not possible we prefer the shipment to be held at the carrier's office for you to pick up, rather than having the package traveling around town in the back of a truck. We can also ship the package to a work address, neighbor, or family member if that is more convenient. Tracking numbers are provided to our customers so you may check the status of your package online.
We typically ship all animals FedEx Priority Overnight. Please tell us if you have a preference for an alternate shipping carrier, or have had problems with a specific carrier in your area. Animals are shipped in a styrofoam insulated box, and heat or cold packs added as necessary. The shipping charge is $50 for packages up to 3 lbs. This charge includes the cost of the box, packaging materials, and actual shipping cost. Unfortunately FedEx has recently raised their rates drastically (they always seem to go up!), so we have been forced to raise our shipping charges.
We reserve the right to delay shipping due to extreme weather conditions. If you insist on shipping during extreme weather, we will package the shipment as best as possible, but will not guarantee live delivery.
We guarantee live delivery as long as someone is home to sign for the package as arranged. We cannot guarantee live delivery of a shipment that has sat on your hot or cold porch for hours, or spent the day traveling around town in the back of a truck. In the unlikely event an animal does arrive dead, please contact us immediately and save the body and box to be shipped back to us. We will attempt to replace the animal, or will refund your money if a replacement is not available.
We guarantee animals are healthy, eating, and sexed properly (unless sold as unsexed). We also guarantee that all 100% hets are indeed heterozygous for the trait indicated.
We guarantee your complete satisfaction. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your shipment. If you elect to return your shipment you will be responsible for all expenses required to properly and safely return the animals. We will gladly attempt to replace the animal, or refund your money if a replacement is not available.
We provide a 30-day health guarantee on all animals we sell. Please contact us immediately if you notice any health issues. We stand behind our animals and will be there to provide husbandry or other information you may need after the sale.
