10/13/2012 - We have had a very busy summer at Geckos Etc. I was a vendor at 3 international reptile shows this year (Japan, Canada, and Germany), all within 6 weeks! I had a great time at those shows. I want to thank everyone that purchased geckos from us, and our hosts in each country that helped to make those shows successful!
That was a very busy time, but now that the show season is over I will have time to post a lot more geckos to my website. Although I haven't announced a formal update here in a while, I did post over 130 geckos to my website since the last announcement in several updates. If you haven't already "liked" the Geckos Etc Facebook page, I encourage you to do so. I have been posting updates there when I add new geckos to our available pages, and I have also been posting photos of some exceptional geckos that we have hatched. Here is the link to the Geckos Etc Facebook page.
I am working on posting a big update now, and those new available geckos will be posted very soon. I plan to add a lot of new geckos to the available pages over the coming weeks, including a lot of fat tail geckos.
7/13/2012 - A few weeks ago on our Facebook page we asked for input regarding creating an availability list of geckos that are available, but without photos. We received positive feedback that it would be a good idea, and have now created that list. There are over 130 new geckos available on that list. These are additional geckos that are not pictured on our website on the normal available pages. For now the list only has leopard geckos, but we will be adding fat tails and hognose snakes to the list in the future. Please let us know if you have any comments or suggestions regarding the list. We will always continue to post photos of new available geckos on our website. A bunch of new available geckos (with photos) were posted on our website over the last few days. More will be posted soon.
In addition to this list, we also posted photos of 38 new available geckos to the available pages over the last several days.
6/10/2012 -Twenty new Leopard Geckos were added to the available pages today. There are few huge females in this update. This is a female Godzilla Super Giant Snow Tremper Albino. She weighs 118g and is over 10.5 inches long. She is Godzilla's daughter, and came from breeding Godzilla x Super Giant Snow Tremper Albino. Her ID number is GGF1.
Here is another big one that was posted today. This is a 120 gram female Godzilla Super Giant Snow RAPTOR. She is Godzilla's granddaughter, and has 2 solid eyes. Her ID number on the website is GGSRPF1.
5/28/2012 - Whew, it has been a busy spring here at Geckos Etc.! We have lots of babies hatching each day, and lots more eggs in the incubator. This year is looking to be our best year ever with the highest total number of geckos hatched and the greatest diversity of morphs. We added a bunch of new breeding groups in 2012 and are hatching a lot of new Leopard Gecko and Fat Tail Gecko morphs. Our Western Hognose Snake projects are doing very well, and so far we have nearly 200 eggs from the first clutches. Most of the females will lay a second clutch in a few weeks too. Knobtail Gecko projects are also doing quite well, and the first hatchlings of 2012 should be out in a month or so.
Lots of new geckos have been posted on our website since I last announced an update in March. I have been posting new geckos nearly every week as I have time. Most of the updates have been smaller, with 8-20 at a time. Many of those geckos have sold quickly to people that keep a close eye on our website! Most of the times I posted new geckos I announced the update on the Geckos Etc. Facebook page. I will continue to do this for future updates, so keep an eye on that page to be the first to know about new available animals. You don't need a Facebook account to view the page. Here is a link to that page:
More new geckos will be posted this week.
I will be attending reptile shows on 3 continents in 2012. I will be back at the Japan Reptiles Show again this year, and also the Hamm, Germany Reptile Show in September. I am venturing to Canada for the first time, and will be at the Western Canada Reptile show in Red Deer in August. See the Shows Page on our website for more details. I will bring animals to sell at each of these shows, but I am also taking pre-orders for delivery to these shows. I can only bring a limited number of geckos to sell at each show, so for the best selection it is best to place pre-orders before the show. We are currently taking pre-orders for these shows, so let us know if you are interested in any of the animals on our website.
